reason for name Beetlesong was named Beetle- for how black her pelt was as a kit. It barely had any white on it, and her mother always told her father that she looked like a little beetle crawling around the nursery. She received -song for how melodic her voice is. Even when she's angry she still has a sweet tone.
appearance descriptionBy one glance, you wouldn't think much of Beetlesong. Of course, she's fairly decent when it comes to appearance, no cat can deny that, but she definitely isn't the biggest cats in clan. Perhaps one of the smallest for her age, which Beetlesong loathes with a passion. Maybe this is why she's so quick to bristle up or unsheathe her claws: so cats know that even though she's small, she can put up a fight as great as a badger. Sure, maybe that's exaggerating and every cat knows it, but she'd still like to think she could take on a whole band of badgers if it came down to it.
As for actual appearance, like said, Beetlesong isn't that bad looking. Her pelt is mostly black, except for the white mask on her face, chest and the tips of her two front paws. She makes sure to keep her pelt well taken care of, so that the black coat shines in the sunlight. Her ears, that usually only come up to the largest tom's in the clans shoulders, have white tufts sticking out of them. Her tail is very long and plume-like. She almost always has it tucked around her, rarely ever sticking it up in the air. Her eye color, though, changes with the lighting. In some lighting they could look fully amber, while in some lighting it looks like amber with a band of jade green around her pupils.
