name Wanderer
age Sixty moons
gender Female
clan None
rank Loner
reason for name Her mother named her Thrush, but after a few moons of traveling, she decided the name "Wanderer" was a much better fit.
appearance descriptionGiven that her parents were both fairly small and delicate, Wanderer is smaller than the average she-cat. She often finds herself having to tilt her head up a bit to be able to look other cats in the eye, but she doesn't mind. Her thick tabby fur combined with the muscle she's gained from her travels makes her seem pretty bulky and maybe even intimidating from the right angle, but she's actually rather slender and built for speed and agility over brute strength. Her hind legs are especially strong from seasons of wandering the world. Aside from the large paws that look out of place on such a little cat, Wanderer doesn't really stand out that much.
She may be a wild cat, but Wanderer has few scars to show for it, and most of them are hardly visible due to her fur. She has a few small ones that crisscross around her right front paw from a twoleg trap she got caught in when she was younger. The tip of her tail crooks slightly as well, but it's not very noticeable.
quirks
- believes that everything has a spirit and often talks to them as a Clan cat would talk to StarClan
- she's a pacifist and dislikes fighting
- has a very basic knowledge of herbs
- exceptional memory
- very curious; her self-preservation instincts are nearly non-existent
- lilting tone of voice
personalityShe's probably the friendliest cat you'll ever meet. Wanderer looks out for every cat she comes across, regardless of their past actions, current allegiance, or family. She doesn't expect thanks for her actions either. Helping others is something everyone should do, so there's no reason for her to get praise for doing it. She's also very forgiving and doesn't like to hold grudges since she never runs into a cat twice. Wanderer believes that there are spirits in everything, even trees and the wind. She believes in the 'traveler spirits' most of all, as they are the ones that watch over her and keep her safe from harm on her journey. They were once wanderers themselves, after all. Naturally, this belief has rendered her a pacifist. Her philosophy is that all cats are deserving of life, no matter their actions, and no cat has the right to take it away. Her first response to being attacked is to flee unless there's a someone that needs defending.
Though her lifestyle would lead you to believe otherwise, Wanderer loves being around other cats. Talking to herself and having one-sided conversations with nature just can't compare to a simple "hello how are you" with another cat, even one that isn't particularly chatty. Wanderer loves swapping stories with any cat she meets and is usually willing to talk as long as her new friends care to listen. However, she can be a bit frustrating to talk to at times since she's fond of speaking in metaphors and often answers questions with more questions. The longer you speak with her, the more confused you'll be by the time you walk away, but hopefully you'll have learned something by then.

experienceWanderer's kithood was pretty uneventful. She was the only kit in her litter, so there was never a danger of starvation. Her parents devoted all their time to raising her. Once she was reasonably grown, she said her goodbyes and left; spending her whole life living near her parents wasn't very appealing. Although she loved them both, she wanted to see the world. After that, she rarely stayed in one place for more than a few days.& Wanderer quickly became accustomed to the constant travel and came to accept that once she left an area, it was highly unlikely she'd ever see the cats she met there again. But that was fine. The memories she had of them was enough for her.
While visiting a small wooded area near a twolegplace, Wanderer ran into a black tom called Night. The two hit it off fairly quickly and Night decided to travel with her. For seasons, they passed through grasslands, over rivers, and even went so far as to explore huge, sprawling twolegplaces most wild cats chose to avoid. Along the way, they'd tell stories of their travels and pick up a few more from the locals before heading on their way.
During one such venture into a twolegplace, Night met a pretty young kittypet named Marigold. He and Wanderer ended up sticking around for longer than usual to spend time with her. It came as no surprise when Night confessed to Wanderer that he wanted to stay with her. Marigold's twolegs accepted him with open arms, and probably would have taken in Wanderer as well had she chosen to stay. But she knew her journey wasn't over yet. She said her goodbyes to her friend and his new mate before heading on her way.
A few moons ago, Wanderer learned of cats living together as friends and protecting one another while visiting with a few other loners. She found to concept of the Clans fascinating and was dying to know more. Since then, she's been looking for Clan cats to talk with.
