splashmist nodded knowingly. "oh, i can attest to that. some of the cats in tempestclan are awful." she frowned as she thought of her brother, jayblue, who had been the worst of them all. and she didn't think she could possibly handle dealing with dreamstar's ridiculous disappointment for her entire life, either. so what if she hadn't been a good fighter or excelled at... much of anything? did that mean she didn't deserve respect, just like anyone else? or a place in the clan? it wasn't her fault she wasn't good, it wasn't even her mentor's fault. she was just little and weak and fighting had never been her thing. screw dreamstar.

"i'd love that, hollybreeze," she purred gratefully. "maybe you can mentor one of the kits in my next litter too!" her whiskers twitched. "if scorchkit and mottledkit are any indication, their siblings will be quite a pawful." she opened her mouth to say more, then stopped when hollybreeze mentioned what lionwhisker had said. the little gray she-cat looked genuinely taken-aback by her friend's statement, green eyes narrowing immediately as if lionwhisker had made the remark with her in ear-shot. realizing how that must have looked, she relaxed but curled her lip a bit as she said, "what an ass." so maybe every vertigoclan cat wasn't as nice and perfect as the ones she'd encountered so far. "ditto! and just between you and me, i haven't met this lionwhisker yet but i'd go for tigerstripe." she lowered her voice to a whisper and looked at hollybreeze with laughter in her eyes. "he's cute!"

"Every clan has their rotten paws," Hollybreeze mused simply as she flickered her tail. Then, smiled, "Great! It will be wonderful when you become a warrior to have some to talk to with when hunting or patrolling, " Hollybreeze purred. "Oh that would be amazing, and maybe when and if I have kits you could mentor one of them. Plus pawful apprentice normally turning out to be great warriors. " 


Hollybreeze nodded, "I think so too. He is quite a jerk. Only cares about himself. He so full of pride its annoying,  you know." Hollybreeze let out a laugh at Splashmist next comment, "Hmm he is quite attractive,  although I don't know if it would work. I think Starclan trying to torment me. They are both adorable!"

splashmist hmmm'ed thoughtfully at hollybreeze's observation. "any cats in particular that i should watch out for in vertigoclan? everyone has been so nice so far," she tried not to sound too shocked that vertigoclan warriors had welcomed her warmly. she didn't want to offend the tortoiseshell. it wasn't that she expected vertigoclan to be unwelcoming, it was just that she was accustomed to tempestclan. here, the medicine cat actually believed in poppy seeds. that was a big improvement in her life compared to back in tempestclan with the harsh spectrelight.

"you're going to be such a great mom," splashmist purred knowingly. "and truth be told i can't wait to be a warrior again. laying about in the nursery gets kinda boring." she listened silently to hollybreeze's appraisal of lionwhisker, deciding to file away the information for later in case she needed to chew the hot-headed tom out. she hated cats that were full of themselves; especially toms. "speaking of how boring it is, i should probably go check up on my sons," she mewed, sighing as she realized that she and hollybreeze had been talking for some time and there was no telling what trouble scorchkit was getting into. she hadn't caught sight of the dark tabby tom in several minutes, and it hadn't worried her until she fully understood how long she'd been absorbed in conversation.
